But how did we get here? In 1998, the husband and wife team started making and selling perfectly fragranced handmade soaps out of their garage. By 2000, they had outgrown the garage, hired a small staff, moved into a proper building and were incorporated as Scentsational Soaps, Inc.
Since the handmade scented soaps were doing so well, the couple decided to dip their toes into the handmade scented candle market too. Using the popular fragrances from their soap line, the Scentsational team started making high quality fragranced candles utilizing cotton wicks and wax blends of soy, coconut and beeswax. Scentsational grew again, so in 2003 the couple decided to formally change the company name to Scentsational Soaps & Candles, Inc. The current production facility, located in Venice, FL, is now 94,000 sf and includes a factory store. In late 2021 a new, modern and shopper friendly website was launched with an updated modern logo branded as simply SCENTSATIONAL.
Scentsational’s meticulously crafted, high quality, fragranced candles have been available for years at big-box retailers. These retailers are able to sell our candles at a discount because the scent load is much lower. The Scentsational products sold through this website have 3x the scent load.
